Indicators and Measures
Following the Minister's approval of the 39 outcomes for the Early Childhood Services to Grade 12 Learning System in October 2001, a sub-committee of the Review Committee on Outcomes (RCO) was established to draft key measures of the Early Childhood Services to Grade 12 learning system's effectiveness as a framework for discussion by the RCO.
A draft set of measures was given to stakeholders for feedback. Twelve consultation sessions were held, including ten workshops and two teleconferences, and two written submissions were made.
Sessions were held in Edmonton, Calgary, Grande Prairie and Lethbridge between May 27 and June 14, 2002 - closely following the completion of the sub committee's work and prior to the start of the Commission on Learning stakeholder consultations. Information resulting from the RCO process was referred to the Learning Commission as part of their review.
Indicators and measures were finalized and approved by the Minister in the spring of 2003.
