Technology Considerations
For the Innovative Technology Funding Initiative, Alberta Education has not attempted to identify any specific technical specifications for the key classroom technologies. The Classroom Technology Considerations document outlines some key considerations and functional capabilities that jurisdictions may want to consider when making purchasing decisions.
Education Standing Offers
Alberta Education has established Education Standing Offers (ESO) with participating vendors to enable school jurisdictions to purchase select technology hardware and software at the best possible educational price.
Further information on ESOs can be found on Alberta Education’s Learning Resources Centre website at http://www.lrc.education.gov.ab.ca/pro/gen/eso.htm.
