Strategy 2: Successful Transitions

Collaboration and coordination will help make school more relevant to students.

Helping students understand the link between school and work must be a collective commitment of educators, business and the community.  Successful transition requires collaboration and coordinated actions to help students understand the importance of learning skills in school and in the workplace that will make their life successful.

Off-campus education models, dual credits that allow students to participate in apprenticeship training and college courses, expansion of credit-based, career-based opportunities, and distributed learning environments are just a few of the options that will be explored to make school more relevant and accessible to students.
