Setting the Direction for Special Education in Alberta was an initiative of Alberta Education. The project created a new special education framework that included vision, principles, policy, accountability and funding.  The Government of Alberta has responded to the Framework.

Many thanks to all those who contributed to Setting the Direction by serving on committees and working groups, by participating in consultations, by attending meetings, and by sharing their best thinking.  Alberta’s students, each one, have a brighter future because of you.  We encourage you to continue this journey, with us, by returning to the Inclusive Education main page to learn about the latest developments and current plans.
