Alberta Education Student definition:

The definition of Alberta Education student is an individual who is 19 years of age or younger on September 1 of the school year and is registered as of September 30th of the school year in an Alberta Education School operated by a public, separate, francophone, charter or accredited funded private school authority. The definition includes children registered in an ECS program in an Alberta Education School operated by a public, separate, francophone, charter or accredited funded private school authority or approved private ECS operator as of September 30th of the school year.
