The following events are posted to inform Alberta teachers and students of upcoming international education activities around the province and are not sponsored or organized by Alberta Education.
Video Conference for Hope 2009
On Wednesday, November 5th, students from around the globe, in partnership with Polycom and Change for Children, will gather via Video Conference to help raise awareness and funds for the building of a school for disadvantaged children in Guatemala.
Over the course of this day, from 08:00-16:00 (MT), schools from almost every continent on earth will connect to each other and to a remote satellite connection in the hills of Guatemala to develop relationships and examine the impact of globalization on indigenous communities.
