This website contains resources to help you effectively communicate across cross cultural boundaries.
This section of the CIL defines culture and considers intercultural competence. The term "intercultural competence" refers to the ability to understand cultures, including your own, and use this understanding. It differs from "cultural competence," which generally refers to a person's knowledge about a specific culture.
The CIL has country insight fact sheets for almost any country in the world. They provide a variety of background information and highlight important cultural dos and don'ts.
