Aboriginal Policy Branch
Aboriginal Policy Branch provides leadership in the planning and development of policies and practices to meet the education needs of First Nations, Métis and Inuit Albertans. The branch develops and coordinates policy responses to the First Nations, Métis and Inuit (FNMI) Education Policy Framework, and chairs the FNMI Education Advisory Committee to support the implementation of the FNMI Education Policy Framework. The branch is coordinating the Aboriginal Learner Data Collection Initiative (ALDCI) and work to foster federal/provincial/FNMI cooperation on Aboriginal education issues.
