Knowledge and Employability Conference News

Alberta Education partnered with the Alberta Regional Professional Development Consortia (ARPDC) and the Alberta Teachers' Association Career and Technology Studies Council to host the joint CTS/K&E Conference, Pathways to the World of Work/Parcours vers le monde du travail”, held May 7–9, 2009 at the Fantasyland Hotel and Conference Centre in Edmonton.  This was an opportunity for approximately 400 administrators, counselors and educators involved in K&E and CTS programming to meet and discuss common issues and successes.

The keynote speakers were inspiring, sessions were engaging and informative, and the exhibitor support and displays were the most extensive in conference history.  Well over 400 K&E and CTS delegates enjoyed many opportunities to share and collaborate on teaching strategies and the combined format of the symposium and conference.  The Francophone group was really pleased with the French K&E sessions provided.  The stage is set for next year!
