Physical Education Guide to Implementation

Kindergarten to Grade 12 

The Aim of the Kindergarten to Grade 12 Physical Education Program is to enable individuals to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to lead an active, healthy lifestyle. The program is based on four general outcomes—the ABCDs of physical education: A—Activity, B—Benefits to Health, C—Cooperation, and D—Do it Daily…for Life. Each general outcome has grade specific outcomes that ensure continuity in student learning across grades. This guide to implementation is a resource to support implementation of the program of studies and contains grade specific illustrative examples for all dimensions, assessment strategies and planning tools.
